Our meals plans today have become complicated all because we want something that satisfies our taste.  We sometimes eat not just because we are hungry but because our tongue dictates something.  We crave for sweets and other tasteful and delectable dishes because our minds have been enticed by advertisements.</p>
<p>The visual feast that we see every single day wherever we go is often time unbearable that we have to give in.  Our need to eat better immediately gets out focus and we deliberately fail in our diet program.  But the first step can be done by doing simple changes to our daily eating habits.  We can design meal plans that do not include sodas, too much sweets, salty and artificially flavored foods, and fatty dishes.  However, what is hard to immediately change is our preference for processed and pre-packed foods.  We find the convenience of cooking them quickly as a time saver that allows us to spend more time with things we enjoy.  Mostly, people do not enjoy spending hours in the kitchen preparing a dish.</p>
<p>Preferably, our meal plans should include fresh ingredients which we can make into flavorful dishes with natural flavors.  Although most of us may not have the skills in the kitchen, we can always learn how to make simple dishes that do not take much of our time.  There are countless of cooking shows that teach us how to eat better by preparing simple yet flavorful dishes in just 30 minutes.  Half an hour is not so much time if you come to think about it.  It is even less than the time you spend watching a single episode of your favorite primetime television series.  These simple steps have greater impact to our hopes of staying healthy.  Start each simple ones and then add some cardio exercises to complete your fitness setup.</p>

<p>It is a challenge to make friends with your own kids when they have been accustomed to the ideal family setting of having a mother and a father together in one house.  It is even harder for a single parent to handle grueling hours at work while thinking about the household chores.  But any good parent can still find time to let her child understand the harsh reality.  The kids may be too young to understand but they should still feel that they can talk to you anytime.  Be more attentive to your kids and hear their thoughts especially on what they feel about not having a complete family.  Get to know their point of view to develop better relationships with them.  It is just like when you make friends with a stranger for the first time, you get to hear out feelings and opinions that have not been heard of before.</p>
<p>The process may be difficult for some especially when the family is not tightly knitted in the first place but the more you communicate; the bigger the room is for expressing emotions.  Think about how you keep friends longer and how even for the longest time you have not seen each other, you can still share stories the way you used to.  If you want to develop better relationships with your children even if you are a single parent, you can still make it work by letting them confide to you.</p>
<p>Set aside an ample time in your schedule where you can go out and do productive activities every weekend.  Ask them about how they do in school and who they make friends with and that could already be a good start.  Perhaps, it may really take time for kids to fully open up but if you are constantly communicating then chances are they will soon share their worries and frustrations with you.</p>
